Opened on 21 June 1985 in Vevey, the Alimentarium is the world’s first museum entirely dedicated to food and nutrition. Every year, it offers a rich and varied programme of exhibitions, cookery workshops, guided tours, talks and cultural outreach events exploring past, present and future food-related issues.
The flagship exhibition ‘SYSTEMA ALIMENTARIUM. Towards a major food revolution?’ takes us to the heart of the social, environmental, health and economic challenges facing the food system. It offers the public accessible, insightful and rigorous ways of understanding these issues.

By public transport: From Vevey railway station, take bus 201 towards Rennaz and then bus 202 towards Charmontey to the Hôtel de Ville stop. The museum is a one-minute walk from the bus stop.
